Is this an employed ironing job?
This is a self-employed agent opportunity. You run your own local ironing service with All Ironed Out’s marketing, booking tools and support. You are responsible for your own business costs and tax.
Can I fit this around family life or another job?
Yes, provided you have enough time to complete accepted bookings and keep agreed collection and return times. You manage your availability rather than working fixed shifts.
Do you find customers for me?
We promote the service through our website and marketing, then pass bookings in your agreed area to you by email and/or text. Demand differs by area and takes time to build, so a set number of bookings or income is not guaranteed.
Can I apply from anywhere in the UK?
You can put your area forward through the agent application. Availability depends on existing coverage and suitable local demand. The county restrictions for local ironing vacancies below do not apply to agent enquiries.
Do I need expensive professional equipment?
A good quality iron and sturdy ironing board can be enough to start. You also need a suitable smoke-free workspace and transport. You can consider faster professional equipment as demand grows.
What happens when I apply?
The agent application collects your details and proposed coverage area, and includes secure setup of the £25 monthly subscription through Stripe. We then review your application and confirm your setup and agreed coverage before bookings can be sent to you.
I already run an ironing service. Can I join?
Yes, existing ironing businesses can apply too. Joining can give local customers another way to find and book your service, subject to agreed coverage.
